PERCEIVE THE ULTIMATE TRUTH
Fourteen hundred years ago , Almighty Allah sent down the Quran. This Glorious Quran contains within its words many miracles which prove it to be Allah's Word. One of these attributes is remarkable number of scientific truths which are contained in the Book of Islam.
SOME OF THE SCIENTIFIC TRUTHS MENTIONED IN THE QURAN HAS BEEN DISCUSSED BELOW-
1. He created the heavens and the Earth from nothing.(Quran, 6:101)
Until the mid-20th century , the prevalent view across the world was that the universe was infinite, had existed forever and that it will continue to do so for all time. This view has constituted the basis of materialist theory and has consequently rejected the existence of a Creator. However , as science and technology progressed during the 20th century , this view has been completely uprooted.Through numerous experiments, observations and calculation conducted by some of the world's most prominent thinkers , modern physics has proven that universe did indeed have a beginning , that it came into being from nothing in a single moment in a huge explosion. Furthermore it has established that the universe is not fixed and static as materialist still stubbornly maintain. The verse mentioned above is in full agreement with the findings of contemporary scientists. the conclusions that astrophysics has reached today is that the entire universe came into existence as a result of a great explosion that occurred long time ago. This event known as THE BIG BANG THEORY is the catalyst for the creation of the universe from nothingness.This explosion , that all parties in the scientific community agree, emanated from a single point 15 billion years ago.
2. And it is We Who have constructed the heaven with might , and verily it is We Who are steadily expanding it. (Quran 51:47)
In the Quran, which was revealed fourteen hundred years ago at a time when the science of astronomy was still primitive , the expansion of the universe was described in the above verses.At the beginning of the 20th century the russian physicist Alexander Friendmann and the belgian cosmologist Georges Lemaitre theoretically calculated that the universe is in constant motion and that it is expanding.
this notion was confirmed by the use of observational data in 1992. While observing the sky with a telescope Edwin Hubble , the American astronomer, discovered that the stars and galaxies were constantly moving away from each other.This discovery is regarded as greatest in the history of astronomy. A universe where everything constantly moves away from everything else implies a constantly expanding universe.This was theoretically discovered by Albert Einstein, considered one of the greatest scientists of the 20th century. However in order to avoid violating the "static universe model" that was generally accepted at that time, Einstein laid that discovery aside. He would later describe this as the greatest blunder of his life.This fact was explained in the Quran in a time when telescopes and similar technologies advancements were not even close to being invented. This is because the Quran is the True Word of Allah : the Creator and Ruler and Sustainer and Maintainer of the Entire Universe and everything else.

3....He created you stage by stage in your mother's wombs in threefold darkness. That is Allah , your Lord. Sovereignty is His. There is no deity but Him.So what has made you deviate?(Quran, 39:6)
"The threefold darkness" mentioned in the above verses indicates three dark regions involved during the development of the embryo. These are:
- The darkness of the abdomen
- The darkness of the womb (uterus)
- The darkness of the placenta
4. It is He Who sends out the winds , bringing advance news of His mercy, so that when they have lifted up the heavy clouds, We dispatch them to a dead land and send down water to it, by means of which We bring forth all kinds of fruit..(Quran, 7:57)
The weight of clouds can reach quite astonishing proportions. For example , a cumulonimbus cloud, commonly known as the thunder cloud can contain up to 300,000 tons of water.The fact that a mass of 300,000 tons of water can remain aloft is truly amazing. Attention is drawn to the weight of clouds in the above verse of the Glorious Quran. At the time when the Quran was revealed, of course it was quite impossible to have any information about the weight of the clouds.This information revealed in the Quran but discovered only recently, is yet another proof that the Quran is the word of Almighty Allah.
5.O company of jinn and human beings! If you are able to pierce through the confines of the heavens and the earth, pierce through them. You will not pierce through except with a clear authority.(Quran,55:33)
Humanity's exploration of space was accelerated with the Soviet satellite Sputnik on 4 october 1957, which carried aloft the first man to ever leave the earth's atmosphere: Soviet cosmonaut Yuri gagarin. On 20 July 1969 the American astronaut Neil armstrong became the first human being ever to set foot on the Moon. In fact, the Quran revealed that such developments and achievements would one day be realised. For instance Allah draws our attention to this in the above verse. The Arabic word sultan, translated in this verse as ' a clear authority ' has other meanings as well: force , power , law , path, proof, and permission. Careful examination reveals that the above verse emphasizes that humanity will be able to move into the depths of Earth and sky but only with superior power. In all likelihood, this superior power is the superior technology employed in the 20th century , for it enabled scientists to achieve great feat.
